Fashion is how I tell stories

Fashion is creative. It's funky. It's a way of showing the world who you are on the inside, and the best days are when what I wear on the outside matches what I feel within.

I've always been drawn to other cultures. To color, texture, travel, and the unexpected silhouette. I love a bold print. I love a fabric with something to say. And I'm especially drawn to pieces inspired by communities run by people of color, where clothing carries heritage, craft, and a point of view.

Why I started Kuju's Closet

I wanted a place where independent designers from around the world could show how they see the world through fashion. Not just list products, but share the story behind them. And I wanted shoppers to be able to meet those designers, and find pieces that feel like them.

Every brand here was chosen for its perspective. You'll find denim with attitude, knits you'll want to live in, African print made with pride, and plenty of pieces under $50 that still feel special.

What we believe

Getting dressed should be fun. Your style is your story. And independent designers deserve a stage that lets their work speak for itself.
